Henry
The hotel of choice in Auckland. Unique accommodation with nice staff members with staff member. Incredible and magnificent location so close to a vibrant casino. Walk from pubs and taverns and walk from a tower and a theatre. Outstanding food, well priced. Lovely pool, parking nearby. No charge for wake up service and ironing too...

I appreciated the clean and perfect room and the staff were kind. The pool was lovely and I had good drinks in the downstairs bar. Besides, I parked nearby. The service was welcoming and the location was great. It was a busy area, a superb base for me. I ate at a pleasant restaurant with wonderful food.

Exceeded my expectations, I would definitely go again. Absolutely amazing place all in all, has amazing staff with staff member on how to refund. The rooms here are cosy in the upper floors. They have a lot of meals to choose from, the food is reasonably priced.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming, which made my stay more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bed and a good bathroom and shower. I also appreciated the fact that they provided lots of coffee and tea in the room. the location of the hotel was excellent, being close to many restaurants, shops, and amenities.
There were a couple of negative aspects that affected my experience. the lack of towel racks in the bathroom was inconvenient, and there was only a small shelf for guest belongings.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely brilliant. Despite arriving on a public holiday when most establishments were closed, I was greeted with great care and friendliness. The level of service was top-notch, making me feel valued as a guest.
I found that the rooms on the top floor were starting to show signs of wear and tear. While the bed was comfortable, the overall interior furnishings were due for a refurbishment.

It nearly felt like we were sleeping on the street because it was sooo loud outside. Maybe they should offer earplugs? I slept with a pillow over my head.

Location Age - a historic building
Three steep flights of stairs to room without a lift. Given my dubious health a major disadvantage which will deter me from using it again. This info should be on the website so people booking are pre-warned. Staff did offer help with bag but even unladen the stairs were a struggle. Would recommend BUT only with provision of warning about stairs and no lift.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel in the heart of the city. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring and experiencing the vibrant energy of this bustling city. You can easily walk to all the major attractions, shops, and restaurants without any hassle. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, great value for money. The attention to detail in the rooms was evident, with fresh bed linen and basic amenities provided. The hotel also offered a delicious breakfast, a perfect start to the day.
Noise from outside construction was a minor inconvenience but didn't spoil my overall experience.

The only good thing I can say is the location is good for Queen's Street & downtown, and good hot water pressure in the shower.
The restaurant did not appear to be open, I would struggle to call it a "boutique hotel". They do not brew their own beer on site (as told by a barman), the "front desk" is the bar which is open all night. The room was tired, the wardrobe is a shop clothes rail, the "ensuite" bathroom is an after thought addition ( an adult could not sit properly on the toilet as it was so close to the shower cubicle). Only 3 channels were clear on the tv (no remote), No decent curtains to shut out the street lights. As soon as the staff find out who I was, the next statement was $99 please. I do not believe the advertising for this accommodation on this web site is accurate. I think I could get a better room for a cheaper price with good location.

Close to town. Cheap. Easy to get in and out of. No muck around with check in and check out.

This hotel's location is incredibly convenient to get to-and-from the airport and close to the center. The building's history adds charm to the experience of staying in a working pub from the past. One can expect friendly staff and reasonable food service.
One may experience subpar cleanliness instances that may make their stay uncomfortable.

The location to all things in the city.Restaurants and cafes, pubs and shops all within walking distance.
The noise from the street at night and early morning was hard to put up with.Being an older style room the windows were far from soundproof.

The location of the hotel is truly unique compared to other pub/bars in the area. It is virtually next door to the Skytower, making it a perfect spot for those looking to explore the city or enjoy the nightlife. it is conveniently located for those embarking on a cruise, allowing guests to stay nearby before or after their trip. The friendly staff and clean rooms, as mentioned in the reviews, provide a comfortable stay for travelers. The hotel also offers a restaurant with generous and reasonably priced pub food, as well as their own brewery, offering guests a chance to try their own brews.
Some guests have mentioned issues with the size of the rooms or the lack of certain amenities, such as a heater or water bottles.
